As a gifted teacher, she recognized the potential of the diverse students she taught throughout her tenure, especially those who came from highly challenged backgrounds. The Dorothy A. Swope Foundation honors the life and legacy of this master educator by financially supporting high achieving students and organizations that further the life-changing potential of education.
Purpose: Dorothy A. Swope Foundation provides financial scholarships to support high achieving students attending tuition-based schools through the Dorothy A. Swope Scholars Fund. Our Foundation also supports organizations committed to providing educational opportunities that ignite curiosity and cultivate passion for learning through the Dorothy A. Swope Education Fund.
